National Day of Prayer for Schools and Young People on May 24th, the Feast of Mary, the Mother of the Church

In between showers on Monday 24th May, National Day of Prayer to Our Lady, we held a Rosary trail around the school site.

With 5 prayer stations representing each of the mysteries,  staff all childrenprayed a decade of the rosary at each station in devotion to Our Blessed Lady.

Assembly and Collective Worship this term

Even though most of our pupils were working remotely we were still able to have a full and active prayer and worship life as a faith community.

Each Monday and Friday, we all came together via video conferencing to  pray together and explore the week's gospel.

Mrs Fender and Mr Sheehan led the 'assembly' and children contributed just as they usually would.

Although we were not singing hymns ('praying twice' as St Augustine would say) we still had the opportunity to reflect and worship through music and video.

Year group bubbles are meeting together to celebrate and, in classes, children plan and lead their own collective worship.

Blessed be the Gentle-a reflection based on the Beatitudes to share at home with your families.

Child led collective worship - 6D1 bubble - Claudia led a reflective collective worship on 'new starts'

Child led collective worship - 6D1 bubble - Peter led a beautiful collective worship on happiness
