This week the whole school has taken part in special Vision and Mission activities. We spent some time exploring our school driver words and representing them in hands and feet. As you can see, the results were super!
This week we had a special assembly from the NSPCC.
They explained to the children how important it is to talk to a trusted adult about our worries.
The children were told all about Childline too.
Welcome back everyone. We hope you had a super break.
This week we have been reading a fabulous book by Anne Fine called 'The Angel of Nitshill Road'.
In geography we have been having fun with a compass and using the compass points on O.S. maps.
We have also been looking at mass in grams and kilograms, so perhaps you could have a look at some items at home and see how much they weigh.
We enjoyed a visit from Mr Loader who gave us a fantastic talk about rocks! We even held some ancient dinosaur poo!
Well done to everyone for a wonderful first half term. The homework is to read, learn spellings and tables and have a good rest!
Enjoy the break.
We have been really busy this week learning how to write instructions. We have looked at a fabulous book called "How to wash a woolly mammoth." We then discovered all of the features of an instruction text.
We have also completed our art work using chalks and black paper to depict Stonehenge at sunrise. We really do have some talented artists in our midst!
Welcome to Year 3 - 3DM!
As part of our topic on the Stone Age, we have recently made models of Stonehenge using Bourbon biscuits and pink wafers! Much fun was had by all however our Stonehenge didn't last as long as the real thing because the biscuits began to melt and parts of it fell over!
We enjoyed it while it lasted nonetheless!
