Frantic Friday - March 15 th
Today was the first Frantic Friday of 2019 and what an amazing day it was!
3Y provided a range of fabulous activities and they raised an incredible amount of money - over £220!
Well done and thank you to all of the children and parents for their support.
This week the whole school has taken part in special Vision and Mission activities. We spent some time exploring our school driver words and representing them in hands and feet. As you can see, the results were super!
This week we had a special assembly from the NSPCC.
They explained to the children how important it is to talk to a trusted adult about our worries.They told the children about Childline too.

Welcome back everyone and we hope you have had a good break.
This week we have been reading a fabulous book called 'The Angel of Nitshill Road' by Anne Fine.
In geography we have been having fun with a compass and using the compass points to locate places.
In maths we have looked at mass using grams and kilograms, so perhaps at home, children could find some items and weigh them.

We enjoyed a visit from Mr Loader who taught us all about rocks and even showed us some ancient dinosaur poo!
Well done everyone for a wonderful first half term. Homework is to learn spellings, tables and read. Most importantly have a good rest!
This week we have been very busy learning how to write instructions. We read a fabulous book called " How to wash a woolly mammoth" and learned about the features of an instruction text.
We also completed our art work depicting Stonehenge at sunrise, using chalks.
