Year 3 – 3Y

Friday 7th February.

What another brilliant week class 3Y have had!  We made some amazing Robots with old recycled products and created some amazing creations.  The children were fantastic!  They helped each other when things got a little tricky and everyone celebrated each other's achievements.  They really are a credit to their families-so thank you!

We also have used our English lessons to plan, write up and edit our own Robot adventure stories.  We will write these out in best next week!

In maths we are all becoming more fluent in our x4 tables and are excited to be learning our 8's, using doubling and halving.

What a great week we have had in class 3Y.  In RE we have looked at the the story of the Lost Sheep and wrote some lovely ideas about the thoughts and feelings of the sheep and who the good shepherd was.

In History, we started our new history topic about the Romans.  Did you know that the story about Romulus and Remus helped explain how Rome got it's name?  The children enjoyed writing about this myth and are excited about learning more things about it!
